Besides her there's another leading lady that i've been working with but she's not so into the transportation business but rather music business. Up and coming contemporary pop indie artist Janice Yap(a.k.a. jymy) is gonna be performing at The Laundry in the Curve on the 7th of march at 7.30pm and she has asked me for a favor to stand in with her as one of her backing vocals for that night. Truly i was humbled as to first being asked and second to have the opportunity to perform along side her for this friend whom i've known for many years now is really talented and we've always had jamming session in our younger days. Surely helping her out in this would be a pleasure for me. So yeah come and show some support if any of you reading this is free that night. We're the first act of that night out of the other four groups who will be performing:

And finally, a current church design project i've been working on. Was called in few weeks ago to help design a flyer for an upcoming youth concert on the 9th of march 2007. This was one miscommunicated project which i was involved in. After being away for a year and a half in melbourne, australia, i realize that when i got back i naturally settled into the young working adults group so i design what i thought i would like and this was the result:

This project was one where i was pretty confuse as upon returning home and getting settled into the culture again i've forgotten that my mindset has been changed to a young adult from a youth, literally like from Boyz 2 Men. So i designed it according to my so-called matured mind liking keeping in mind that i'm still a young college student. This is the confusing part where a designer has to learn how to incorporate his/her visual style into the proper targeted audience to make it effective, in this very instance it's young students. So i had to totally scrape what i thought was a great design to something more appropriate to the consumer of the product. And this is what i came up with as a draft:
A totally different concept compared to the first one, for this concept I had to look to my skills in freehand drawing which wasn’t that great seeing as I haven’t been drawing much since I got into uni but I was quite happy with the results. Already you can see why the second design appeals more for the younger generation by sticking with the pop-grungy concept. Surely pop culture studies in uni did help despite it’s boring theories. History does make a big difference if one is educated in it, I guess that’s why it’s an important subject, through human aspirations in trying to change the world and the toils and trials any individual goes thru. By having examples or roles that were put into play thru the growth of human development we are able to learn from mistakes, know the effects in socialism and also grasp the knowledge to strive for improvement and the good for a better future.
Feel free to comment as usual…
Adieu…
